Building a New Hospital

The South Jersey Health System’s 441,000sf flagship medical center is first greenfield hospital to be built in south Jersey in 50 years. The three building, 62.5 acre campus includes:

  • four-story inpatient medical center
  • two-story diagnostic and treatment center
  • four-story building for physician's offices with the outpatient center

Since the construction of the medical center, we have also constructed the:

  • Regional Cancer Pavilion, a 14,150sf cancer treatment center, which provides a radiation therapy department and two linear accelerator vaults
  • 19,630sf has also been added to the patient treatment and observation facility to serve as an adjunct to the emergency department and a 24-bed inpatient medical/surgical nursing wing

State-of-the-Art Medical Facility

The South Jersey Regional Medical Center contains the latest technology providing its patients with state-of-the-art care and treatment. Each of the 238 patient rooms is private with wireless technology allowing the hospital to bring clinical and patient information bedside for the staff.

The surgical floor includes 10 post-operating rooms, a modern ICU and post-ICU rehabilitation and link to physician offices. The medical floor includes acute ICU and post-ICU, dialysis, chemo-therapy, and a medical infusion center. The cardiology center includes a 37 bed cardiac acute care unit, ICU and CCU and a cardiopulmonary testing area.
