Aggressive Schedule
Without Interruption

A 400-attorney practice with offices additional offices in Massachusetts, New York, New Jersey and Washington, DC, Day Pitney LLP selected our firm to serve as construction partners for work in six of the offices throughout Connecticut and New York. From day one, our focus has been on the delicate nature of working in occupied space, respecting the priorities of Day Pitney—namely consistent customer interaction and service and no disruptions to daily work.

In the center of Hartford’s business district, Day Pitney occupies 81,000sf on the fifth, sixth and seventh floors of an eight-story building. Our firm provided construction management services for the build-out of three floors simultaneously and work was performed on nights and weekends to achieve the aggressive schedule. The project required extensive coordination with the base building management for deliveries and scheduling.

Quality Construction
and Custom Finishes

Our staff worked closely with the architect to provide quality construction and the high-end look Day Pitney wanted to achieve. The elevator lobbies and reception area were finished with high-end millwork, floor tile and glass doors. Several audio/visual conference rooms are placed throughout the space and have rear projection systems and teleconferencing capabilities. The floor plan has perimeter offices with glass fronts and cherry doors, surrounding the open office space plan with landscape partitions. The 'working floors' feature a business center, mail room, copy center, and training and file rooms.

The existing 2,000sf data center required mechanical and electrical upgrades. The data center required installation of new racks, raised floor tiles, as well as the checking and commissioning the A/C units and Liebert systems, and UPS. The high-density file room required structural steel under the slab and raised flooring. The new library required structural steel reinforcements, and a platform floor to accommodate the weight of the shelving and books.
