Minority Business Participation

Our firm provided construction management services for interior construction of the Foley Square federal courthouse located in the heart of downtown Manhattan. This 900,000sf courthouse complex consists of a 27-story tower rising above a nine-story base and accommodates 710 employees. The facility supports 43 courtrooms and their daily activities, 43 judges’ chambers and related support space for the District and Circuit Courts as well as the U.S. Marshal Service.

Structure Tone successfully implemented various government compliance initiatives including SBE/MBE/WBE and ICIP programs. Structure Tone awarded over 70 contracts totaling more than $66M to SBE/MBE/WBEs. Our organization exceeded the 6.9% WBE/MBE and 30% SBE Federal mandate for participation of minorities. We awarded 21% to WBE/MBE firms and 44% to SBE.

The United States Small Business Administration presented Structure Tone with an award in recognition of our organization's success in providing maximum subcontracting opportunities to SB/SDBS. Historically, this award has only been presented to 2.0% of contractors on Federal projects.

Safe and Secure Facility

Our team is well aware of heightened security measures and systems required in a government facility such as Foley Square. Of the six elevator banks that feature 26 state-of-the-art cabs, three are designated for the use of judges, while another bank of three is for the exclusive use of the US Marshals for securely transporting prisoners. Structure Tone meticulously adhered to the US Marshals' guidelines for courthouses, and oversaw the installation of high technology security devices including a card reader access control system, CCTV, duress alarms and a motion detection system.
