High-End Custom Design
With stores around the world, Nike, Inc. needed a contractor that could meet its construction needs and thus selected Structure Tone as construction manager for various retail locations worldwide. A direct reflection of Nike’s image, high-end finishes and clean modern lines were what the design called for. Both the beautiful interior and the support infrastructure for the Nike ID store in New York City were constructed by our team, from the personal design studios to the knife-edged lighting and data room. The project involved installation of millwork display cabinets, wood finishes (including teak and lacquer painted wood flooring in white and chocolate) and recessed downlights in the studio area. For the London and Madrid locations, a specialized lighting control system and state-of-the-art audio/visual equipment were installed.
Cutting Costs but not Quality
Value management is an important Structure Tone hallmark for all of our projects and the Nike stores were no exception. For Nike ID, we were able to reduce costs by pre-purchasing all lights and flo bars. For the space in Madrid, we were able to tie a new modern lighting and lighting control system into the existing building space. Construction for the Madrid retail store was also performed on accelerated four-week schedule to control costs and meet the deadline for the planned high profile launch.
