Center for Advanced Medicine

Working with signature architect Rafael Viñoly, our firm constructed the The Raymond and Ruth Perelman Center for Advanced Medicine. The four-story, LEED Silver, 800,000sf outpatient facility, blends outstanding medical practitioners with state-of-the art technology to offer the most advanced treatment options available. The facility contains:

  • a parking garage three levels below grade
  • radiation oncology one level below grade
  • administration, Abramson Cancer Center (cancer and cardiovascular treatment), mammography and a surgical pavilion are located in the four levels above grade

Roberts Proton Therapy Center

The 75,000sf Roberts Proton Therapy Center, is the largest of its kind in the world, and one of six such centers in the US. It is the first such center to be fully integrated, on-site with a renowned cancer center, the Abramson Cancer Center of the University of Pennsylvania.

The Center will treat about 3,000 patients a year in it’s five treatment rooms, four gantries (90-ton rotational machines that deliver the proton beam) and one fixed-beam room. The Center has the most advanced options available for patient positioning and comfort, and also includes a separate research facility.
