Lesson in Working Together: Temple's Newest Residence Hall is Being Built Through Cooperation
A two-year project is transforming the face of Philadelphia’s 128-year-old Temple University. In August 2011, the school embarked on a student residence project that creates a greater presence on the campus’ southern end, which faces the city center. The 1,285-bed facility consists of two 300,000-square-foot residences – a 27-story post-tension concrete structure and an eight-story L-shaped girder slab structure. Adjacent to the tower and mid-rise sits a three-story dining facility. In between all three buildings, there is an elevated landscaped terrace with parking and loading zones below.

The $85 million, LEED Silver project is both an eye-catching sign of how this decades-old campus is evolving and an impressive reflection of Rutgers Business School’s growing stature and deepening significance to the broader university community. The project is a key part of the university’s ambitious plan to transform Livingston. This is one of three projects Structure Tone is providing owner representative services for at Rutgers. Battery Park in lower Manhattan took the full force of Superstorm Sandy. But thanks to some fortuitous thinking by the park’s staff, the foundation for the new SeaGlass Carousel, being constructed by Pavarini McGovern, scheduled to open this summer, was unharmed.

Sheraton New York Turns 50 and Enters Final Phase of Renovation
In September the Sheraton New York celebrated its 50th Anniversary, at the same time it embarked on the final phase of a multi-phase renovation. Structure Tone is proud to serving as the construction manager for the full hotel renovation totalling almost 1.2M sf. The project included the renovation of guestrooms and suites, public spaces, infrastructure and—the last phase—the hotel's ballrooms and meeting facilities.

Structure Tone completed the historic renovation and repair of Main Hall, the face of Wagner College, for the beginning of the Fall semester. The project entailed the installation of new windows, re-pointing brick-work, a new roof and the re-fabrication of ornamental works on the building including the tower dome, gargoyles and the bow window of the facade.
