IFMA Awards of Excellence
Structure Tone Sweep at the 2018 IFMA Awards of Excellence
The firm was especially recognized for its environmental leadership
At their event on January 25th, the International Facility Management Foundation’s New York City chapter recognized Structure Tone’s exceptional work and innovation with five Awards of Excellence. Based on nominations and judged by distinguished professionals in the facility management field, IFMA’s Awards of Excellence program is designed to honor the extraordinary achievements of members and lasting contributions made to the FM profession.
Two of Structure Tone’s projects received the Design & Construction of a New Facility Award of Excellence. White & Case’s new NYC office won in the category for the largest projects (over 400,000sf), and Boston Consulting Group’s New York headquarters won in the 100,000–300,000sf category. Our high-quality work on BCG’s LEED Silver certified headquarters was also one of four projects recognized with a LEED/WELL Certified Award of Excellence. Structure Tone’s own WELL Silver certified NYC office was recognized within this category as well.
In addition to these two awards for executing excellent, environmentally responsible projects, Structure Tone was named Distinguished Environmental Company of the Year. Through the development of certifications like WELL and LEED, the construction industry has made real progress in the push for sustainability and wellness.
“Structure Tone has proudly been at the forefront of sustainability in our industry, continuously implementing green construction practices and encouraging sustainable design and construction that promotes the health, productivity and overall wellbeing of a building’s inhabitants,” says Robert Leon, senior vice president of Structure Tone’s Global Services division. “We’re extremely honored by IFMA’s recognition and looking forward to maintaining our leadership role in responsible building throughout 2018 and beyond.”
