The Houston office relocation allowed Accenture to shed approximately 40,000sf of space while increasing efficiency, productivity and service to their clients. This Class A office space became the pilot project for Accenture’s Workplace 2.0 strategy to create a new type of office environment elegantly tailored to meet the needs of its mobile workers.
Key program elements include a reception, community café space, lounge, boardroom, client presentation room, high-tech collaboration areas, open collaboration areas, conference rooms and shared enclosed spaces. All spaces are multi-functional, designed to accommodate a variety of activities and groups in formal and informal settings.
The space was designed to create an engaging experience that fostered chance encounters and visible and approachable leadership. By reducing the real estate footprint and providing tools such as video polycom and telepresence, Accenture significantly reduced its carbon emissions while at the same time improving the work/life balance for their employees through reduced travel.
