Alzheimer’s Society
When the Alzheimer’s Society relocated its UK headquarters to Crutched Friars, London, following the expiry of their lease, they selected Structure Tone not only to realise their new office design but also their new brand vision.
Alzheimer’s Society recently launched a new visual identity and strapline – ‘United Against Dementia’ – developed to create a new brand position that’s both inspiring and accessible.
The move presented the charity with the opportunity to fully integrate their bold new brand principles, including bright design elements, striking printed quotes from people affected by dementia and tactile materials throughout the office accommodation which brought the brand alive. The new location also minimises the impact on the organisation’s people, thereby enabling them to optimise the delivery of their charitable purpose.
Structure Tone worked closely with the Alzheimer’s Society and architects HLW International to ensure all configurations, finishes and design elements critical to people diagnosed with dementia were completed to the highest quality. To deliver a project of this nature, Structure Tone took great care to provide materials and equipment to ensure each part of the project met the goals of the design intent and the budgetary constraints required by the charity. The CAT A to CAT B works comprise installation of new meeting rooms, open-plan meeting areas, a purpose-built IDF room, breakout space and tea points with bespoke specialist joinery, new slab-to-slab partitions to keep acoustic integrity and a new communications room to support the society’s operational requirements, including new data cabling with under floor power systems. The high-level mechanical installation was reconfigured to service the new office.
