We are delighted to welcome Andrew Kelleher to lead and grow our Science & Technology business in the UK. We see his extensive delivery experience in the pharmaceutical, life sciences and nuclear industries as central to our continued expansion of Structure Tone’s Mission Critical business.
Andrew joins us from previous employers including PM Group, Jacobs and Amec, bringing a wealth of management and leadership experience gained from delivering an impressive range of technology, construction and infrastructure projects. Andrew’s comprehensive understanding of project and programme delivery, processes, methods, tools and techniques—coupled with a wide Science & Technology industry knowledge and experience—positions him well to grow our S&T portfolio.
After a successful early career in design and project engineering, Andrew spent three years with Amec, based at one of the most challenging sites for project delivery in the UK, the Atomic Weapons Establishment (AWE) in Berkshire. The technical and cultural challenges of the site were considerable given the nature of the client’s business.
Andrew then moved to Jacobs at the Bradwell nuclear decommissioning site where he led a multidisciplinary team to develop a pioneering engineering solution to dispose of intermediate-level nuclear wastes in a safe, cost-effective manner. The project proved to be one of the most complex and challenging stakeholder management endeavours of his career.
After completing several more capital investment projects across the UK’s nuclear generation fleet, including EDF Energy’s nuclear generation business, Andrew moved across industry sectors into Life Sciences with PM Group to broaden his industry experience. Big project challenges have never strayed far from Andrew’s chosen career path, with his first project taking him to GSK in Worthing to complete a complex upgrade programme of work to restore production in an aging pharmaceutical primary production facility.
“We are thrilled Andrew is now part of Structure Tone Mission Critical’s continued growth and expansion plans,”
Says Sector Director for Mission Critical, Richard Brandon.
“His unique combination of business, project management, engineering, construction and science-based experience, qualifications and knowledge make him the ideal person to lead this venture. As we celebrate our 30th anniversary in London, I am delighted to say we have a thriving and successful Mission Critical operation at Structure Tone, and I am very confident Andrew will exceed our growth expectations in the world of Science & Technology.”
