See you at the Greenbuild International Conference & Expo!

The world’s largest conference and expo dedicated to green building is back! Structure Tone’s specialized team will join industry leaders, experts and frontline professionals in Chicago to listen, learn and brainstorm ways the AEC industry can continue to push the envelope of sustainable building.

To jumpstart this year’s conference, Structure Tone’s own director of sustainability, Jennifer Taranto, is receiving the 2018 Leadership Recognition Award from the International WELL Building Institute (IWBI) for her outstanding leadership and commitment to enhancing people’s health through better buildings. With over 18 years of experience in the commercial real estate and construction industry, Jenn is a passionate advocate for reducing the environmental impact of the built environment and is Structure Tone’s go-to expert on all things sustainability.

Jenn and a select group of Structure Tone’s sustainability leaders (see below) will be attending the conference, which kicks off November 14th. The team is looking forward to two-days chock full of green building discussions and insightful speakers, particularly our own Geoff Brock who is speaking Friday, November 16th.

Geoff is a superintendent at Structure Tone Philadelphia with over 12 years of experience in construction waste management. From field supervision to project management to corporate sustainability, he’s tackled construction waste management from various angles. Geoff began his career working on residential high-rises at Lendlease before assuming a dedicated sustainability role at the company. He worked with project teams within the context of broader industry efforts and collaborated with networks such as Building Product Ecosystem to support green initiatives. He also managed the monthly collection and analysis of energy, water and waste data for around 50 active construction projects in the Americas region, experiencing firsthand the challenges of extracting meaningful trends from aggregate data.

During his session, “The New Era of Construction Waste Management,” Geoff and the panelists will explore the realities of the material supply chain, the value of third-party certifications and the importance of consistency and transparency in construction waste management reporting.

We hope to see you there!
