Structure Tone provided construction management services for Federal Home Loan Bank of New York’s (FHLBNY) office fit-out on the sixth and seventh floors of 101 Park Avenue. We completed the renovation on schedule, using our knowledge of the building to make FHLBNY’s transition as seamless as possible.
The expanded, state-of-the-art office reflects the highest standard in workplace design and wellness. It maximizes the uniquely-shaped floor plan by surrounding the open trading desks with other collaborative areas. The finishes – marble floors, millwork, wood paneling – represent a transition to modernity. Glass walls in the conference rooms and perimeter offices display etchings of blueprints of completed projects.
Lighting plays an important role in FHLBNY’s office. Our team installed linear fixtures to organize the building’s irregular ceiling geometries, including pendant downlights that contrast with the dark ceiling and divide circulation/meeting spaces from work zones. Color-changing cove lights illuminate the trading floor as the heart of FHLBNY’s operation. We also incorporated various wellness aspects, including dimmers, daylight-responsive fixtures, and adjustable controls at individual workstations.
