Jim Hurley served on the Board of Directors for this non-profit organization that works to improve the health of mothers and babies.
In support of our Corporate efforts, Pavarini successfully pulled off a great United Way food campaign collecting over 700 items and put together over 100 weekend food packs.
United Way is the world’s largest, privately funded nonprofit—serving communities for more than 130 years. United Way is in 1,800 communities across the globe fighting for the education, health, and financial stability of every person in every community. They build stronger communities by working in the areas of early childhood and youth success, economic mobility, and access to health to improve people’s lives.United Way studies the local community, prioritizes the challenges, and then tackles the toughest problems—from the child who can’t read, to the families who can’t make ends meet, fighting for the hungry, the homeless, the sick. But they can’t do it alone. Rallying together corporate partners, volunteer, and donors like YOU, United Way is creating innovative solutions and driving results.
Employees supplied food packs such as:
2% milk box, 8 oz non-flavored, shelf stable
Cold cereal-individual serving size box
Fruit cup or peaches, 4 oz
100% Juice box, 6.75 oz
Chef Boyardee or similar, 7.5 oz, microwaveable bowl

Food insecurity among struggling families throughout Connecticut is an important but often overlooked factor affecting the health of a large population. Snack packs can be created for children to supplement weekend food when they are out of school.
